The inaugural cohort of the Minority Mentorship Program launched with a virtual Orientation in the October 2023 when mentors met selected mentees. These program mentors have been appointed by the Advisory Committee and ASEE program staff.

Mentors will be expected to meet with their mentees for 30 minutes each month. Additionally, mentor-led workshops hosted in an inclusive environment, and a peer-to-peer Community of Practice, will allow opportunity for mentee engagement through self-reflection and group discussion. Topics to be addressed cover career planning, balancing faculty roles (teaching, research, and service), and wellness strategies. Learn more about Program Components.
